I was thinking of buying a completely new pc lately

But i can't seem to be able to find the right motherboard for OCing a 3930k with nice temps and being stable with all that bios stuff. (i did some googling earlier but all i got was various praise on different motherboards and nothing really stood out which confused me some say gigabyte x79 bios would do the trick while others would say asus or asrock so i'm lost)

rest of specs i thought of getting
PSU : (recommend me one please)
Case : FT02-B
CPU : 3930k
Motherboard : (help! can't figure it out i prefer to keep it at 300$ instead of 500$..)
CPU Cooler : (recommend me one!)
Ram : 16gb corsair vengeance ram ( the most typical popular ram probably for now) [unless if you guys have a better recommendation over it with the mobo and 3930k combo]
GPU: (i guess I'm waiting for a GTX 770 or 780? hopefully it's out by the end of this month right? unless it's going to be a long wait..)
Hard Drive : (Can you guys recommend me a 120gb SSD aswell?)
Hard Drive : 1Tb hard drive western digital black

Am i missing something out?

Is there anyway to make the air flow even better by replacing the fans? (I hope it's not noisy)
Someone recommended adding 2 big fans or 3 small ones on top but i don't know which ones to go for. (Should i even bother replacing the bottom ones?)

Thanks for reading this far and trying to help me out.

Can you answer these questions? Just paste the post into yours, and answer each question on the blank line under each question.

Unless you know you can make use of more than 4 cores, the extra ones on the 3930K are pretty much useless; if you want some "future-proofing," go with the MUCH cheaper i7-3770K.

As a matter of fact, you may want to just wait a month before doing any of this, since Haswell, the next generation of Intel chips, is releasing in about 3 weeks.

Furthermore, unless you happen to already own the FT02 and the hard drive, Id' recommend not bothering with such a huge case and a "premium" hard drive. You can fit two drives and a graphics card, as well a large cooler, very easily into a quality mid-tower case that costs $100 less, and the extra you pay on the WD Black is basically for the extended warranty.

1. What YOUR PC will be used for. That means what types of tasks you'll be performing.
vmware/gaming/editing

2. What YOUR budget is. A price range is acceptable as long as it's not more than a 20% spread
1500$~1600$

3. What country YOU will be buying YOUR parts from.
Bahrain

4. IF you're buying parts OUTSIDE the US, please post a link to the vendor you'll be buying from.
We can't be expected to scour the internet on your behalf, chasing down deals in your specific country... Again, help us, help YOU.
http://www.advantionline.com/ or amazon (since it's cheaper)

5. IF YOU have a brand preference. That means, are you an Intel-Fanboy, AMD-Fanboy, ATI-Fanboy, nVidia-Fanboy, Seagate-Fanboy, WD-Fanboy, etc.
Intel and nvidia combo has always worked for me in the past everytime i went amd/ati i had issues with them on certain games due to drivers.. so i prefer nvidia and intel over amd for now.

6. If YOU intend on using any of YOUR current parts, and if so, what those parts are.
None

7. IF YOU plan on overclocking or run the system at default speeds.
I prefer keeping it at 4.2ghz-4.5ghz on air cooling

8. What resolution, not monitor size, will you be using?
1920x1200

9. WHEN do you plan to build it?
Note that it is usually not cost or time effective to choose your build more than a month before you actually plan to be using it.
next month when the 700 series is out

X. Do you need to purchase any software to go with the system, such as Windows or Blu Ray playback software?
Probably going to use windows 8 and use windows 7 GUI since that touch interface is terrible.

I'm thinking of replacing the Intake and exhausts of the FT02 with some fans (like an upgrade to make the air flow even better and less noise) but i don't know which ones to upgrade to. I remember someone mentioning some before for this case but i can't seem to remember which ones are they.

I don't really see the point of going for a 6-core unless you run an extremely heavy VM workload. You'd get better gaming performance by shifting money away from the CPU/mobo and towards an SLI/CFX setup.

At any rate, it's hard to make an informed recommendation since you are basing the build on unreleased products (GeForce GTX 700 series and IB-E).

A few things: the next generation is certainly going to be overpriced at launch. You will definitely get better bang for buck by going with a current-gen part (and you won't be that far behind). Secondly, if you are running VMs, you won't need a fast CPU; a multicore CPU is much more useful. Therefore, the best purchase for your money is an Ivy Bridge Xeon E3.

The Silverstone FT02 is really big, and a bit outdated in interior design. The Fractal R4 is an equally sleek and good performing case (very quiet, competitive cooling). It even comes with a fan controller, and it costs less (and is still available easily, unlike the FT02).

You'll want to max out your RAM for video editing and VMs. Fortunately, you have the budget to do so, and so I've allotted for 32GB in this build. Similarly, you have a budget for a 250GB SSD rather than a 128GB one, so I tossed that in.

Thank you for taking your time for configuring that build, I really appreciate it.
But i really wanted to go for the 3930k build with the FT-02B I've had eyes on it for quite a while. Which is making it hard for me to decide over the R4 Although I'm still thinking about it. Reason Why i have not bought the FT-02B and a motherboard is because i can't figure out which heat sink would work best with the FT-02B / mobo / 3930k combo on air cooling for the 4.5ghz oc. Which is holding me back currently as well as waiting for the 770. I might as well just go for a 660 ti?
Price drop should be soon since 700s are supposed to be due by the end of this month hopefully. I wonder what's the price drop going to be like on the 600 series.

Purely IMHO here, but all of the Asus x79 boards are solid. Unless there's an overriding technical reason, I'd just as well suggest snagging the cheapest one that meets your needs.

2 weeks until they start arriving, prolly 400

Thank you for the heads up on price austin.

Christ i swear i spent 4 hours googling just for a CPU cooler that would work well to vent it all out on a 3930k with the FT02B combo. And i can't.. even find one.. Oh god i feel dumb.

LGA2011 version of the Noctua D14. Pretty much anything will fit in an FT02 (assuming you can find it somewhere).

Get the 3930K now. Once IB-E is released upgrade to that and sell the 3930K.
