I have a Pent 3 -800 machine a friend gave me that has onboard video and the motherboard inside says S3815-ANE . I put a hard drive in the machine and installed windows 2000 pro, then I went to their website and downloaded the lan and graphics drivers for this model motherboard.

searched for S3815-ane
found
S3815-ANE/AE Driver for onboard VGA in Windows 2000
7466KB Download Here
and I also found lan drivers there etc etc.
Installed the lan drivers fine, tried the video drivers but no luck, they don't work for me.
I am going into system / hardware / dev mgr / video card / then update drivers then pointing to the folder on my desktop with the drivers tekram says are for win2k for this motherboard yet everytime i try that it says
Windows was unable to find a driver for your device (even when I am pointing directly to it within the folder), I also put the drivers on a cdr disc and had it search the floppy but still no luck says unable to find the driver for this device.
I will admit I am somewhat new to all this but overall I think I understand the basic idea of what I am trying to do here but can't figure out why it won't take the drivers.
Any ideas on this? I did email their tech support but no reply since last week yet.
I can use the machine but its video is maxed at a whopping 16 colors and hurts my eyes.
