Hello all,

I run Mandrake Linux 9.1 on an extra machine. I want to run the UT2K3 dedicated server on this machine. The dedicated server file is now sitting on the HD of the computer, but I can't extract it. When I right click and say extract, Ark comes up, but locks. It just sits there with the program open but locked. I also can't get anything if I preview with Arkviewer or just open the file to explore. With Arkviewer the windows locks again. Just opening it gives me an empty explorer window like there aren't any files there.

Does anyone know how I can extract this file? And I have tried downloading it again, so I'm sure it's not corrupt.

Thanks,
Swan

Please clarify. Do mean find a file that's zipped in .tar.tar or something? Or is there another program called tar?

Actually I just used the File Roller program instead. That seems to work fine.

Thanks anyway guys. I'll remember that console command for the future.
