Can't Enable UDMA Albatron PX845PE Pro 2 (silver)

I just built this computer a few weeks ago and while playing DVD movies in my Lite-On 16x DVD Rom, I noticed jitteryness. So my roommate (who knows a lot about computers) said he had the same problem with his, he just had to enable DMA and it was fixed. BUT! Under Device Manager when I go to Primary IDE Channel and Secondary IDE Channel, there is NO Advanced tab. I've gone into the BIOS (R1.07) and I can't figure out if there is some sort of setting that I've missed to change it. (On Albatrons' BIOS update page there is something listed right after this BIOS it's "1.10a" is this an alpha thing? or is this another BIOS update that I should flash to?) On my old Compaq Presario 5000 which is running XP I can change the DMA under Device Manager. I'm running XP Pro on my new machine and the option isn't there. I ran SISOFT and it recommended that I enable DMA, but I can't figure out how. Any help would be extremely appreciated, I'll give you a cookie! Thanks.

P.S. I think it's my mobos fault, but Albatrons' site (from what I've seen) doesn't say anything about this problem.

P.S.S. Oh yeah, I've got the latest drivers for everything except sound for the board (I've got an Audigy gamer) and the SATA because I've got a WD 80 gig 8mb cache thinger.

Thankyou!!!

Did you install Intel Application Accelerator 2.3? If so, the advanced tab will be gone. If not, install it. How about the Intel inf (chipset drivers) version 4.30? Inf first, then IAA. Run the IAA program and it will show what DMA mode the device is in.

Ok, I just downloaded and installed the latest chipset drivers form Intel and the latest IAA. It still jitters, and when I run Sandra it says that my DVD is running at 3x. It's a 16x drive, and still recommends turning on DMA. But when I looked at IAA it says that the drive is running UDMA2. I have no clue what's going on. It's quite annoying. Could it be a faulty DVD-Rom? I got it at Newegg, maybe they'll let me get a new one or something? If that's the problem. Thanks for any help.
