Can't download using IE

For some reason, I can't DL anything from the Internet when using IE6. It just sets there attempting to connect to the link, but the download never starts. I know it's a working link, because it works fine on the other workstations in the office. General browsing works fine on my system.

I am pretty sure it has something to do with a software firewall I was running. I was using the EZtrust firewall, but uninstalled it a couple weeks ago.

What do I need to do to be able to download again?

go to download.com and get adaware

do you have an antivirus program?

I ran Adaware + Spybot + SpywareBlaster on the system today (it's my system at work), and that appeared to take care of the problem. 😀
