At work, I use Firefox and can DL whatever I want just fine, but at home I can't get anything to DL or install w/o errors. Both systems are WinXP with work behind a corporate network proxy and home running Panda AV with firewall behind a router. All other connectivity is fine, but Firefox keeps barfing.

When I try to install a theme from the Firefox site, it asks if I want to DL and then pops an error box reading:

Firefox could not download the file at

http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/themes/qute/qute-3-fx.jar

because: Download error.

Any theme I try does the same thing and trying to right-click and save it says The link could not be saved.

What's weird is the Themes manager window shows Qute 3 and says Install Success, but when I click OK to close the error, it disappears.

I am running 1.02 here at home, but 1.01 did the same last week. Work is 1.01. I currently use Mozilla 1.75 for mail and browser, but am trying to switch to FF/TB combo. FF picked up my settings from Moz automatically.

When I try to DL anything from saving a picture to an MP3 from a server, the program freezes for several seconds - totally unacceptable. With only a few windows open, it's eating 141 MB of RAM and when it just finished a file, it froze again.

Semi-workaround: If I drag the link to GetRight, it'll DL to my HD and I can then drag it into the Themes window and it'll take, but that's about 20 steps too many if you ask me.

I've searched Google and Mozilla without any luck. Any ideas? TIA!
