Woooohooohooooo! Bought an SSD, so FINALLY had a good reason to install Win7 and test this out. Worked like a charm! Thanks again person-who-may-never-again-visit-these-forums! =)

You may be the one person in the world who got an SSD before an LCD monitor.

I can't believe it took a year for someone to post a helpful answer, and it's a random guy from the internet!

Actually I posted the exact solution within a day. Needing to up the refresh rate by 0.001 is not necessary, I have no idea why he thought that was true.

Nvidias custom resolution crap is sooo nice. I remember spending hours and hours trying to raise the refresh rate on ATi cards when Win7 first came out. The solution was to wait about a year for drivers to come out lol.

Well it makes sense, SSD > HD, but LCD > CRT isn't true. I'll put my Trintron up against any LCD for PQ and it will smash it. I'll go SSD before I go LCD too.

At this point your CRT is probably a lot dimmer than an LCD though

And your LCD is probably a lot dimmer than staring into a flashlight.

I loves me my Trinitron monitor. I refuse to replace it before it dies a painful death...And I agree...low refresh rates suck.
