Can't delete temp files

I have 102 temp files that I cannot delete. Does anyone know what program is producing them?

I run Win XP Pro, Office 2000, Systemworks 2005, ZoneAlarm (free), Spy Sweeper, Spybot S&D and AdAware. All up to date. I turned them all off and still get the message "File is used by person or program" (something like that).

Three of them are:

CS66C1A.tmp
CS66C3B.tmp
CS66C3.tmp

Any help would be appreciated.

Just leave them be?

Unless your temp directory is getting out of control like over 500mb or something, no need to clear it out, but those files are cache for some program and probably get cleaned out when needed by the program.

I have the same thing but I know that the files belong to my anti-virus program, I expect it may be the same with you. You could try booting into safe mode and then deleting them that somtimes works.
