Can't delete certain folders...

There are two folders that I cannot seem to delete at all. If I just click on them and hit delete, nothing happens (no errors or anything). If I go into the command prompt and try and delete them through there, nothing happens. If I right click on them, they are checked as read only, but when I try and take that off it gives me an "Access Denied" error and won't let me change them. This isn't a network drive either, it's a slave drive on the same channel as my master drive.

Any ideas?

I even tried cutting and pasting the folder to another drive to see if that would work... no go with that either.

I say you have 2 more options.

1) Boot into Safe Mode and Try
2) Boot into DOS (If you're not using NTFS)

Didn't work in safe mode either, except this time when I pressed delete it said the usual "Can't delete... make sure... write protected/in use/blahblahblah".

And I did format the drive using NTFS, so an old boot disk is out of the question...
