Can't delete a file

I started to download a movie. And I copied the file half way through so I could watch it while it finished downloading. I played the partial movie through divx player. And now when I go to delete that file it won't let me. It says I need to close the program using it but divx player is already closed. I don't understand it. I have restarted my computer but I still can't get it to delete. So what can you guys come up with? Thanks

thanks gates. I deleted the registry key. And it deleted fine. What did taht registry key thing do anyways? Thanks

If you want to find out, in future, what file is open by which program, SysInternals has some nifty tools. Of course, if it's a movie file, you can always delete it from a command prompt (Start->Run->cmd).
