Can't delete a file on the desktop...

I'm trying to delete a video on this computer's desktop but I can't. When I try to delete it, I get this message "Impossible to delete file: the specified name is not valid or is too long." I can't even change the name of the file because I get the same message. I can't even change the location of the file.

Is there a program somewhere that can delete the file?

When I got porn vids.. errr files stuck on my desktop back in the day and I couldn't get rid of 'em I'd boot to a bootdisk and delete 'em from DOS
