A couple months back, I compressed my whole hard driver (stupid i know :p). A month or so later, I decompressed my hdd again. I thought that was the end of the story. But recently, I noticed some compressed files in the Windows directory. I tried decompressing them but I got an error telling me it was in use. I also tried in safemode but that didnt work either. Any clues on how to decompress those files? :\

If you're talking about NTFS compression don't worry about it, it's seamless and works just fine. It's nothing like things like DriveSpace from way back when.

Since they aren't needed to boot (since your system is up), I wouldnt worry about it they aren't causing any issues.
