Can't decide which Bamboo Fountain to get!

Ugh, I hate when I can't make a choice between 2 almost identical products.

Cadenza Bamboo Tabletop Fountain for $50

Moso Bamboo Water Fountain for $80 (AC)

I really wouldn't mind plunking down the extra $30 for the second one but I just don't know if it's worth it, even if it really is made with "natural bamboo and ties". Style isn't all that important but I do like how the first one looks compared to the other, plus it's not as tall so I could put it in certain places the other wouldn't fit. But, I can take advantage of a $10 off $75 coupon with the second one, making it even cheaper than the sale price. Also, because the second one is taller the sound of the water falling may be more audible, which is what I'd like. Either one would make me happy, I just want to pick the right one for my tastes. Any indoor fountain folks want to offer their 2 cents on these models?

I don't own a bamboo fountain, but I think the second one looks much nicer. Maybe you should put up a poll and let ATOT decide which one you buy. 🙂

Poll added, even though I didn't expect *that* much of an interest in my petty, insecure purchasing dilemmas . 😛

I like the first one personally. But then again, why would you care? You are the one that needs to like it.

That's the thing, I like both of them so either way I'll probably enjoy my purchase. I would just like to pick the better one of the two so I can put my mind at ease a little for picking one over the other. And having people other then myself tell me which one they would prefer as well would actually help ease it. 🙂

Well, for what it's worth then, I like the first one because it has a more rich coloring to it, and has more girth. If you're looking for a central focal point with this item, definitely the first one. If you're looking for something off to the side/in a corner that isn't the central focal point of the view, then I think the second one would be a little better, as it is more slender and would be nice as an additional feature.

Personally - I would want such a thing to be the focal point, so #1 would be my choice.

Please note: I am not an interior decorator, and I do NOT play one on TV. My wife would also say my taste sucks.

Good observations. The fountain will indeed be put in the corner of my bedroom and will not be a focal point of anything special, it's just for my own peace of mind and enjoyment. I do think the rich coloring of the first one is more attractive as well, though the Moso has a more authentic look to it, so it's a push on style points even though style is not a big factor. The one concern I have with the second one is that it's tall so it needs a stronger (perhaps louder) pump to push the water up there, and I may have to face it a certain direction if I put it in a windowed corner where I have curtains that may get in the way, with the first one I have more clearance for spaces like that. It is possible I'm just over-thinking all of this as well though.
