Can't decide: Resistance 2 or CoD 5

So I have been playing Left 4 Dead for the PC and am interested in trying out a FPS on a console. Haven't played a FPS since CoD 4 on my old 360. Now I have a PS3 and I am interested in trying out either Resistance 2 or CoD WaW.

All input would be appreciated on which one to buy.

i haven't even tried R2, and I'd rather play that than COD:W@W.
That game was a total bust - Treyarch sucks + Infinity Ward is still the Boss

Resistance 2. It's awesome. I got it because it was a very nice change of pace from COD4. Since you already have COD4, get R2. COD5 is pretty much the same as COD4. I would get it later on.

CoD 5 isn't out, so go for R2.

Oh I see what you did there! COD5 is actually COD:WaW, so to make a clever point, you said COD5 isn't "out", even though COD5 infers WaW.

Clever, clever man you are!

Oh I see what you did there. You said infers when you meant implies.

I went to gamestop and asked for my reserve copy of Call of Duty 5. He looked at me smugly and said "Call of Duty 5 isn't out yet."

I'm sure you didn't meant "nitpricking" but instead "nitpicking"... It's okay, we all make mistakes.

Actually I did "meant" nitpricking. The misspelling was intentional.

R2. World at War is kind of weak compared to CoD4. The next 'real' CoD will be out next year so you can get it then.

Could you possibly split that hair any thinner? Talk about grasping at straws  .

Just don't be so quick to quip next time, sparky.
