Cant Cut or Copy a file from one HD to another.

I need to copy a .avi file from one HD onto my raid, whenever i try it gives me the following error.

Cannot copy filename.avi: Data Error (cyclic redundancy check)

This is the only file this is happening on. Ive tried copying it to another HD on the same comp and to a different comp through the network and it always gives the same error. System is running windows 2k.

cyclic redundancy checks are usually found when trying to copy off an optical or floppy disk. basically it means theres 1 or more bad sectors within the file that are causing windows to keep trying to read the file over and over until it reaches it's max retries and errors out. try running chkdsk /r on the hard drive its on now, and then recopy.
