Can't connect to SETI and my SETI Queue is down for repair

This is so weird. On three machines in two locations on three different operating systems I can't connect to upload or download. Is there a system problem? I can get to all the rest of the net but SetiDriver can't connect to the server. Ideas?
 
I'm pretty bummed too. I inexplicably reduced my WU reserves to about 5/machine, thinking that it wouldn't matter. Now I guess I'm proven quite wrong. Oh well. This may be the straw that sent the camel to FaD or another AT TeAm project.
 
mine have been slowly going in to berzerkely - my Q is flushed all the way up to 1pm now 😉 (only about 6 hours of backup)
 
ive got a small queue that has room for others if people need units. its only a 640 down / 272 up dsl line but at least its units!

A breaker blew and the power for the entire lab went off for several hours. We are only now just getting back on-line (23:30 UTC).
 
Thanks guys! I'm still having major probs. I tried to get into Unforgiven's Q and couldn't dl, then I tried Russ' with no go. I'll try Smoke's next. Thanks in advance.
 
More probs. Although I connect to a proxy, this time it's Smoke's, I don't get any dl but my results get uploaded but no info about my total time or units. I think my results are just going into thin air. I lost five before I quit. Now I don't know what to do.

I can't seem to get any units from either berkley or Smokes queues.
I was able to finally upload to Smokes, but can't get any downloaded
 
i think smoke has to allow you to download units....just sit tight til morning if you can. if not, try another queue if you are out of workunits!

Sounds familiar.

I never could understand why downloading WU and uploaded results had to be such a convoluted and complicated mess. I've tried several times in the past to use a queue but had to give up every time due to a lack info as to how to do it. Answers I got to questions just led to more questions and in the end, it still didn't work. I finally gave up and decided to just live thru the constant blackouts.

There are lots of things in the world of computers that are unnecessarily complicated. SETI queues are one of them. 🙁


 
Someone uploaded a WU to my queue and didn't get one. This is letting you know that I've transfered wu's to your account and you should be able to download now.

even now i still have 33 wu's in my results of my queue and it hasn't been able to send them yet. it did this throughout yesterday as well. oh well, i have about 600wu's in the queue, so i won't run out.
 
Did they post that a breaker blew or that the lab floated away!?

Is Cali still getting pounded by rainstorms?

I'm leaning toward the lab floating away and this being the end. This is two major downtime episodes in the past month. I'm usually the "Chicken Little" of the group, so it's ok to not listen to me, but I wouldn't be surprised if UC-B really is getting ready to close up shop on an ABSOLUTELY AWESOME project and move on.
 
I've just moved WUs into all Queues that were out.

Should have taken care of this earlier ... sorry. 🙁

I'll start monitoring the situation and try to keep everyone loaded. 😉
