Can't connect to ICQ with Gaim

When trying to connect ICQ I'm getting message that say " 'my icq number' has been disconnected".


Why this is happening? What can I do?

ICQ recently changed the protocol I believe. I had to get an updated ICQ .dll for Miranda IM. Maybe you need something similar also.
 
Have you tried updating to 2.0 Beta 3.1? The code has been out for almost a year now (not sure why they haven't released the final) and it's definitely stable. There may be an old bug in 1.5 that's addressed in 2.0.
 
Have you tried checking GAIM forums? Or have you made any changes to your network and/or firewall settings?

As Thera said, every once in a while I can't connect to ICQ with Miranda. I hit up the Miranda page and see they changed the protocol slightly so I generally just need a new ICQ.dll, or maybe I'm just behind and get the newest client as well.

i've tried the gaim forums but didn't got reply there.
i've just using simple firewall (kaspersky 6) so i don't think this is the problem.

i didin't found any latest patch about icq protocol.
