I have a main wired router as well as a wireless router connected as a bridge in my network. I am positive of the IP address of both of them but I can't connect to either one nor ping either????

Nothing has changed in several months when I had to replace the wired one. After I set it up I bookmarked the IP and I have accessed it numerous time although its been a while. I have tried my main pc as well as a laptop with a fresh install of W7.

I know the wired router is working because I can get online. The wireless router is working because I can connect my Tivo to the service.

Anything I can try besides resetting them?

no ideas?

guess I'll end up resetting both of them.

Problem is I have numerous settings in each router. I will never remember them all. I set this up with the help of my brother-in-law ~5 yrs ago. Had to change out the "wired" router about 3 or 4 months ago but I know I set it back to my usual ip address.

Anyone have a simple guide to set this up again? Just to clarify, they are actually both wireless routers but I had wireless turned off on the main one that goes in my network closet. It connects to 3 or 4 wired ports that go throughout my house. One of thos ports goes to my living room to the wireless router. that one is used for my tivo to connect to (wirelessly) as well as a blu ray player (wired) and my tv (wired). So, I think that one was a bridge????

Put this application on one of the computers and run it see if the IP of the Router comes up.

.

Thanks.

I did a "capture". I guess that's waht you are supposed to do. Anyway, something is definately wrong. my wireless router shows up as a different ip than I originally set. I still can't find the main router.

Only 3 ip addresses (192.168.xx.xx) showed up. One was my tivo, one was my pc I'm on now and the other was my wired router (which I thought I disabled wireless).

The wired one I replaced a few months back but I would not have left it default IP/username/etc. Not sure what happened. Any ideas on how to find the wireless router.

Guess I'm gonna have to just reset both and set them up again.
