Can't connect on the net via LAN...DSL

A friend has a clone PC with Asus MB, we installed the chipset drivers and LAN drivers from the Asus CD but still no go.

Everything is ok (the LAN connection is good, refresh DNS, optain IP list is correct, etc. but still can't connect to the net. The DSL is ok because other computers are working fine.

Anything else I need to check or install? TIA.
 
Have you tried a simple ping test to an internet IP address? Give us a bit more information on what you've done to try and troubleshoot this, such as list their local IP stats from the NIC, what the results of ping tests are, etc, etc
