It's funny I was going to suggest as last ditch to try leaving a little unallocated at the end of the SSD like 150MB. That was the only thing I did that I hadn't suggested (though I did mention Ieaving 500MB unallocated after the final partition) but I figured he already had tried so many times probably wouldn't be up for it.

I trimmed it down to like 150 and target is 320. I just extended afterwards.

I've done this with Gparted in linux, just shrink the partitions and then copy/paste to the new drive.

All of the available utilities have their strong points and weak points. For instance, you can shrink partitions with Macrium, but you have to image the drive first, then delete the partition of interest, and resize it as you set up the restoration. Mini-Tool seems to work, but within Windows 10, while you may complete the action of resizing the partition, you may cause the system to crash as you exit the software.

That is why I always use Acronis TI via bootable media. As long as the total amount of data will fit, it will clone using Proportional setting.

On my old ThinkPad T60, if the drive had the image written by a different machine, it would fail to boot. The solution for me was to use TI with the app and the image on USB, and the target drive installed in the machine. Something about its BIOS and partition offsets. I'm about to do exactly what you are with an HP x360. Hopefully, it's not as finicky as yours or the old ThinkPads.
