1. Logitech 970024-0403 S-20 3-Piece Computer Speakers
2. Altec Lansing ACS33 PowerCube 3-Piece Computer Speakers
3. Labtec LCS-2424 Pulse 424 3-Piece Computer Speakers

Which of these would be the best? My main use for these speakers is to listen to music and watch DVDs. Are there any other suggestions besides these speakers? All of these are around 40 bucks!

i'd go with altec lansing acs45.2's

they're much better in my opinion than the acs33, and you can find the 45.2's on pricewatch for 45 bucks...

i own the original 45.1's, and two of my friends, on my suggestion, have bought the 45.2's (the new model) and have NOT been disappointed.

nice wooden subwoofer....LOUD, what else could you want? heheh

Been great speakrs, subs not quite loud enough (after having 2 15" RF HX2s and a Class D 1000w RF Amp in my car)
I guess thats alright though .....

I like the altecs but after reading that maximum pc review of the labtecs, I am not sure either.

Do you have a link to that review? I'm really leaning towards the Labtecs myself. But i'm still trying to decide which is best. I like the Altecs purly because of it's good name, and i like the logitechs because i think they look cool...hahaha.

NewEgg has the ACS54 for ~$45 right now. These are new, not the refurb units other vendors are trying to pawn off. You can't beat this unit at that price. The sub is a bit weak (20w) but overall, this is a top-notch system, perfect for gaming, MP3s, and DVDs.

Hey Laker:

I think Sohcrates choice (altec lansing acs45.2) is a good choice, but why don't take a look at the Labtec Pulse-424? Have you read the PCGamer review about this? According PCGamers folks, Pulse-424 is the best bang for the buck...

Hmm, well from my knowledge, the ACS 45.1's and 48's are 2 speaker models with a seperate subwoofer. The 48's are a higher end model, compared to the 45.1's.

I have the 45.1's right now, and although i recently bought the Creative Playworks DTT2500 5-speaker system, i still like my old 45.1's cuz they have more punch to the bass.

The ACS 54's, i think, are altec's value 4 speaker system with a seperate subwoofer. These speakers are at a great price, probably around $55-$65. They sound great, but the subwoofer is lacking a bit.

The only other altec lansings model i know of are the 880's, which are like Altec's high end speakers. It's like THX certified and very powerful.

I am trying to find online reviews of these speakers and any in my price range, but I can't seem to bring up anything. Can somebody give me some links to some websites that have reviews on these speakers? Thanks a lot!
