Can't change voltage with Sapphire 7970 OC?

So, recently I've been trying my hand at OCing my GPU, a Sapphire 7970 Dual-X OC. Managed to get 1150Mhz stock voltage, but as I went on to adjust my VDDC settings, all my programs have not been registering the increase.

MSI Kombustor still registers 1.17V, GPU-Z doesn't show anything above 1.15. I've used Trixx 4.3 and 4.4b but to no avail. MSI AB too, force constant voltage and everything, but still no increase. Help?

P.S. yes, I have used the programs one-by-one in case of software overlaps causing the lack of voltage control. Still nothing,

They started locking them when ghz cards came to market.

I am sending mine back today for a MSI reference model

I am not surprised Sapphire 7970 OC is locked. The 7950 Boost is also locked, and earlier revisions of 7950 Vapor-X were locked as well.

However, 1150mhz stable is nothing to scoff at.

Guess you're right. Just hoping I could hit 1200+ like other benchmarkers have been able to do

Honestly, it's a travesty that they label the card an "OC" model and then lock the darn voltage. 1150MHz on stock voltage is pretty good though, better than mine.
