Its not really a big deal, but i just don't want to be the guitar. Whenever i try and change it to one default icons it says this: "Automation Server can't create object"
Is there another way to change the icon? like in the registry?

And when i try and pick a picture of my own to use it doesn't do anything....

I thought the first post was rather clear...
That does not work, so that is why I asked for an alternate method...

I don't know if I'm helping here, but can't you change it in users-account (under control panel)?

READ HIS POST. Geez. It's clear there is a machine configuration problem, he can not bring up the proper dialogs to do that. My solution would be to do an install over your current config (you'll keep your settings) and hopefully correct whats wrong.

I had to read all the notes to figure out what icon your were talking about. It seems that what you want to change is the log-in icon where you select and type in your password? At first I thought you were referring to the User icon in Control panel. :) As for the other - why not use Tweak.ui and set for automatic log on and bypass that screen completely? It's a lot faster and you don't have to be there for the boot up.

Anyway, as for changing that log in icon, I just read how to do that in either PC World or PC Mag, and I'll check it out. :)
