Hello. I purchased a CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145177 for my Compaq Presario SR5023WM... http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/g...dlc=en&lang=en which uses an Asus motherboard model called IVY (Asus' website has no info on this board). Here is a link for Compaq/HP of the board... http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/g...dlc=en&lang=en. I love the dimms, there are great but I can't seem to get its memory timimg to its tested settings of...
DDR Clock: 800
SDRAM CAS Latency: 4T
SDRAM RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 4T
SDRAM Row Precharge (tRP): 4T
SDRAM Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 12T
DRAM Voltage: 2.1v
TRC: 24
When I run CPU-Z it reads as:
SDRAM CAS Latency: 5T
SDRAM RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 5T
SDRAM Row Precharge (tRP): 5T
SDRAM Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 18T
TRC: 23
Don't what the voltage is set to.
When I enter the bios there is no settings for changing Ram Timimgs. I read elsewhere about how Compaq computers hide these settings in the bios. I talked to there helpdesk and they said the same. They did told me to try a key combination with the F10 key to enter the bios and all it did was give a couple of more options on the bios but not what I was looking for. I have the latest Bios from Compaq support and don't if I want to flash my bios or even try any other modification program to enable, unlock or add other menus the bios. I don't know what to do. Has anyone had any success in changing the timimgs on a compaq or other OEM PC or even know of a way to get around this. Anything would help. Please Advice. Thanks.
