Can't change default apps

I can't seem to set a default app and get it to stick. I have some *.gdoc that keep trying to open in photoshop (in parallels).

Every time I click on one it fires up parallels. If you click open with chrome or the google drive app, it opens fine. Likewise if you click the always use tick box it works fine too, but the next one then tries to open parallels again.

Any advice as its highly frustrating.

Select one of your gdoc files, then right click and Get Info. Then select Open with, select the app you want, then click on Change All then Continue. This should change the app association for all files with the extension.
