I blame it on 95% rushed engineering and lack of testing.....5% poor materials. They could do so much better.

I assume you have evidence to backup that claim, or is it just another "well, my friend's car..." kinda thing?

No, they never have any evidence.

I own a Crossfire, so I can say first hand his claim is inaccurate.

hAhahAHa, what a joke.

You've owned it for how long? Or were you expecting the problems to come up in the first 2 months? Its only been on the market maybe 6-7, so.....

Regardless, he does have a point. MB has always been junk though, they never made the greatest cars in the world, and now neither does Crystler. Not like they did either though. American's just don't care, they buy a car and drive it for 2-3 years, and sell it. So it doesn't matter that it won't last for the next person who buys it, and that it costs WAYYY more to fix then most Japanese cars. Audi, BMW, MB, this is true for all of the above. My friend needed a new upper control arm for his Audi, $1200 installed. For my friends Civic? $100, and we installed it ourselves in less then 2 hours. Hmmm.

I hate little morons like you.

MB has always been junk? Have you ever driven or rode shotgun in an s500? have you ever sat in an sl55 speeding down the highway? They charge 1200 bucks because they can, they're a rich persons way of saying 'I do it because I can', while you and your buddy are riding in his civic with 120hp.

I drive an RSX and I love it, however, in terms of stature, Civics suck.

Anyways, the crossfire has an 8 months long inventory pile up and thats why they're trying to get rid of them.

I love the Crossfire.

I'd buy one if I had the money. :)

Tried to get my buddy to buy one, but he went Accord. :|

Yeah the car looks pretty good. The car is very small though. Not good as the primary car.

Why?

I don't have kids. I just need room for me and the woman.

Me neither, but I don't think I can fit my laundry basket in the car.

I read that Chrysler has an 8-month inventory of Crossfires already. They are not selling well. They are a goregous car and are made in Germany and shipped over.

The 220HP 3.2L engine is fantastic.
They aren't selling cause they're slower than dog crap. The engine in that car is patently offensive. It may be smooth...or whatever...but put the car next to a 350z and its ass will get smacked around. I think they are among the best looking cars to come out in recent years, but all show no go.

They aren't selling cause they really didn't market them too well. The Crossfire wasn't built to compete in a straight line. It's only marginally slower than the 350Z and out handles every other car in its class except the track version of the 350Z.

Not too bad for $299/mo on a lease on a car that is built in Germany with Mercedes parts.

That's not true. About 40-50% of the car is actual Benz parts. The rest of them were engineered for the Crossfire by Chrysler. It is built in Germany on the same assembly line as the 320SLK and shares it's parts with the old SLK.

Agreed. Many people knock my car, but after they drive it they are very impressed. This car sticks to the road, handles superbly and drives like a German car -- all for American car prices.

Hey moron, it costs way less to fix American cars than Japanese cars so stfu.

Yea, I'm the moron who thinks the Crystler Crossfire is domestic?? Hahaha. Whatever, this board and its members have proved to me over and over that most of you know very little about cars.

Just so you know, everything on the Crossfire is german engineered. Or you could just say, is German. And are Benz's parts, not Crystler.

I don't really know much about cars, but I just had to point out it's spelled Chrysler and not Crystler.

Nice looking car, except for the rear end.. I don't like it.

AMDZen: It's CHRYSLER. You said it about 20 times and it was wrong each time. It makes you sound even dumber.

Edit: Oreo beat me to it. :D

Thank you! For somebody who is supposed to know so much about cars, you'd think they'd be able to at least spell the make properly.

Become one of the herd that is ATOT.

Park your brain and let it idle.

Repeat after me, Domestic is bad, Foreign is good, Domestic is bad, Foreign is good,..............

It's cheap because it's a piece of sh!t dodge.

Every single dodge I owned was a piece of crap. Every dodge my parents owned is a piece of crap. Every dodge everybody I've ever known is a piece of crap.
What would make me believe this car is any different?

In this day and age that isn't many miles. If a car with 90k HAS had major issues I'd be upset! Neither of my maximas have, for instance :D
