isn't Elune on the East ? At least their server time is.

I don't believe though that the server time has anything to do with its physical location within the US... you shouldn't have any more lag playing on a PST server than you do on an EST server, and you certainly shouldn't have any more lag playing on a CST server. It's not like your internet provider has all of your traffic routed exactly perfectly by your geographic location.... sites in mid-america are not going to have any more latency than sites across the street from you in most cases.

There was quite a difference for me back when I played. I had several characters over 5 different servers. It was easy to tell which ones were east or west( aka, near or far) The far servers would have pings in the 130-400ms range, the near ones sub 100ms. As for making a difference in play, as a mage it makes quite a difference when spamming instants, trinkets etc.

wrong.
if you're on the other side of the country, it matters. even if you have a fast connection, your ping times can be high.
