I'm having trouble adjusting the brightness and contrast settings for the most favorable monitor viewing. The brightness and contrast settings that I adjusted on my monitor - Gateway EV700, which is about 4 years old - over 2 years ago were at the top and came out brighter than it was. However, when I was surfing the net on my brother's PC, my aunt's PC, and the PCs in college, their monitors were brighter than mine! Also, every time I print out a photo, it comes out brighter than what's shown on my monitor.
Right now, I'm trying to adjust the brightness, contrast, and even the gamma settings on my GeForce4 Ti 4400's Plug and Play monitor software and I'm unable to get the most favorable settings out of it.
Does anyone use the Plug and Play monitor software that's possibly included with your graphics card? If so, how much or less brightness, contrast, and gamma settings are set up as?
