Can't access Win2000 Machine

I have set up a network from my Win98SE to my Win2000 Pro machine using a x-crossover cable. Both machines can see each other. The Win2000 machine can read/write to all the shares on my 98 machine, but the 98 machine keeps getting to a login: \\leisurepvr\ipc$ and asks for a password which hasn't been setup. The shares are enabled on the Win2000 machine and it isn't setup to login to a domain. Both machine don't require passwords at boot up.

Can you help me access all my shares on the Win2000 machine.

First off, establish an account on the W2K machine that has the same name and PW as you log into the W98 machine. Next, do a NEW share that isn't admin C$, D$, etc. share. That should be all you need to do if you're seeing the machine in Network Neighborhood.
