Can't access disk

Yesterday, my computer worked fine. Today I turned it on and I can't access the disk where I've all my documents!!! The disk is located on a slave hard drive. That hard drive is divided into 3 disks; I can access the other 2 disks but can't access the 3rd one. The system says the disk it is not formatted. I really need the data on that disk.

What/how can I do to recover the data?

Please help me...

Ontrack Easy Recovery Professional will bring those files back. I can vouch for the program because I've used it many times. However, it would be pretty expensive to just run out and buy.

I've heard others on here speak of "Get Data Back," and hear that there is a trial version available. However, I've not used it so I can't vouch for how it will work.

Anyone want to give feeback on their experience with "Get Data Back?"

Windows XP? Perhaps system restore can bail you out.

Otherwise, see if checkdisk can do anything for you. Right click on the drive, properties, tools, chkdisk and tell it to automatically correct errors....and pray.
