Wow, like THENEOONE said, step out and smell the roses! :)

But, you've probably helped a lot of people out with all those posts though. Good job.

LOL @ you guys. With all of the posts under my belt, I am sure it looks like I have no life outside of AnandTech. Actually I am very fortunate to be a successful business man. I have accomplished a great deal in the past 4 years. I owe a great deal to my success in life to this place.

Anyhow, Canopus made a huge name for themselves back when the TNT was the top dawg card. I am pleased to see them still in the game after so long ago. I would enjoy testing out one of their Ti4600's. ;)

Canopus never stopped producing gaming cards in Japan, only in America. If you look at the source for the news tidbit, it's from Canopus of Japan's site, so don't expect to see the card here.

Actually, Canopus was king of the original Voodoo1 cards, so it goes even further back than the TNT.

Canopus is who made Voodoo2 SLI on one card.

They've got quite a history.

Quantum3D made the only 3dfx SLI on a card board. Canopus released a 6MB Voodoo1 which was unique in its own right. Canopus is still in the US market making top notch video capture/editing boards for most price ranges.

Oops - I must have crossed my references on the V2 SLI card.

I remember reading Tom's Hardware (before I realized he was a blowhard and an ass) where the 6mb Canopus would always be at the top of the charts.

Then again, I still have fond memories of my 4mb Rendition card. It held its own for a while (and didn't require a separate 2D card like the Monster)

I believe the first Quantum3D Obsidian was actually a Voodoo1 SLI on a board that was pretty close to a voodoo2 in performance and pretty close to a Rolls Royce in cost.
