Canon SX1 to USA after all...

I never understood the appeal of super zoom cameras.

I had a Panny TZ1; I hardly ever zoomed it past 3-4x.

Wish the G10 had 1080P video; that would be the perfect camera. I'm sure the G11 will have 720P at minimum.

I had a Fuji S6000fd, and zoomed to 300mm (it's max) often.

There's a lot to be said for the handling and versatility of a superzoom - not counting the Tizzy's and their ilk - compared with a P&S. Also, I think many people like 'em 'cause it makes them feel like they are serious photographers.
