Definitely very interesting, but I am always more interested in final products than technology anouncements as I have been burnt too many times when a company states they have the next best thing coming down the pipe...and then it never materializes...or ends up being impractical.

That being said, I love Canon Products....and this tech seems like it has a lot of potential. I love flat screen LCDs and Plasma screens for their convenience, but they never come close to rivalling the quality of a good CRT.

SED has been marketing fluff for a few years now. This is the first public display of a large SED prototype, as far as I remember. The 2005 release date seems a little ambitious, as these type of products have a tendancy to get delayed repeatedly.
