Oh my god, I love this thing. I've ripped through an s100, s200, g2, coolpix 900, 950, and my latest S40. This is by far the best digital camera I've ever had the pleasure of using. It's like an s40 that's been shrunk.

Just had to share. :)

I wondered if this could be fixed in a future firmware update. Honestly I've never really been impressed with the 640x480 "movies" I've seen come out of digicams, it's sort of lost on me.

The s400 is brilliant, I'm having a hard time faulting it for anything.

How's the Macro? I am so very pissed with it on my s230 (though it rocks in everything else).

I agree, I'll be selling 3 brand new sealed Canon S400's this weekend :)

Man cannot live off of dell and ebay alone, my friend. :D

True but man can make a few extra $$$ in profit though :)

It sure looks nice. I'd love one to go along with a D10 :) But alas I have to stick with my G2. It still does a decent job...
Gorgeous colors, is that your pic? Can I have a high res of it?

No, Canon is not phasing out the S400, why do you think so?

Yes, that's mine. Check out my web site for more PICs from Santorini. I'd have to dig for a high-res version...see what I can do.

Sounds as if lots of people are snatching them up after a price drop. Canon usually does that before a new model introduction.

The price drop is really a Dell thing, Canon dropped the price $50 I think, typical life cycle thing. Honestly I don't know what could be improved upon unless they increase the megapixel (go to 5?) and increase the video to 640-x480, as discussed above.

Thanks, I'll check your pics out, I've been looking for some nice pics to print on my new printer. I think that one would use an entire blue cart! :D

On the blue one: do you have a high res? I'd like to do a 13x19 print of it!

All of it. :D

I have extra server space, if you want to put some high res's up I could host them no problem for you.

The G6 rumor is already going around the DPreview forums. The G5 just isn't good enough, so I hope the G6 rumor is true. Though my next purchase will most likely be in the D-series, not the G-series.

Individual movie clips are limited to 3 minutes maximum per clip.

Nice Model

Love how all the Sample pics from the Manufacturer's websites turn out so good.

Anywhere I can see movie clips from this camera? I'm close to buying a Minolta x20 but the Canon seems to be taking better quality pics. Wish canon used 2 AA's like the Minolta x20 does and no limit on movies........grr.....

Yeah, with a G2 combined with the Lensmate 49mm adapter and two B+W 49mm filters is what I meant. :D

No grainyness at all!
