before i get flamed for reposting this deal, i know that another thread exists, and after posting to it, but not getting it updated, i thought it was worth another post

anyways, jist of the deal is this - someone on chubbywallet got an s200 at BB in boca raton over the weekend for 178.99 as they were mispriced but left that way for a few days, just never marked as such. his receipt for this purchase is here . anyways, i took this into my local staples for the pm, but unfortunately, the local BB was OOS, so he couldn't (wouldn't) pm. i called up staples after that and talked to CSR Patricia and she was very helpful, and after consulting with a supervisor, had no problems with the price match, giving me a price of 161.xx for the camera. i decided to order 2, with one as a holiday present, and she had no problem letting me use a coupon, although i couldn't use two, even though there is a 10 off 50 floating around that is stackable

, so i used a 40 off 200 and got 2 cameras shipped for 314.xx - less than the price of one regularly with tax
there is also a staples receipt from someone who got the pm and coupon use here
the BB in boca that the first receipt is from does know of the mistake and will acknowledge that they had the camera marked at 178.99 over the weekend if asked about it, if that helps anyone in pm'ing.

the best way to get this to work is to go to your local staples with the receipt print outs, they should be able to pm for you then and there, w/ no problems. if not, call up staples, i don't know what they do to verify, i offered to email it, link it or fax it, but they didn't want that, not sure what they did, but it worked. so your first step should be to go to your staples!

This sounds really iffy but if you do pull it off then this is a killer deal.

I remember when we all pre-ordered this for $289 from Dell with free overnight shipping and that was considering a SUPER HOT deal when this was retailing for $349.

the prp is the 'product replacement plan'
the way to actually do that for one, would be to buy the prp, then decide to return the prp afterwards - to make the deal over 200 for the coupon, then get it cheaper

Just a heads up. I went over to Santa Monica to try and do the dirty deed. The first thing they did was call bestbuy. Long story short.... it didn't work for me.

I got it!

I went to Circuit City, showed them the BB receipt, and they keyed it in - plus I got 10% of the difference back, so it worked out to $180 or so after tax.

After reading this thread and successfully being able to purchase this camera, I had to post my feedback. Here is what I did. I called Staples and placed the order, they asked if I would fax the BB receipt to the CSR (these are the receipts at the being of this thread). I faxed both to show that this order had taken place before. She spoke to her supervisor and approved the order, once the order was approved I placed an order for six of the cameras. They took the order and I should be receiving these cameras this week. Furthermore, you may want to read Staples PM policy, it does not say anything regarding out of state PMing. Their PM policy does not say anything about PMing different states, or a certain radius. Keep trying. It took me several attempts to get this deal. Persistence pays off.

Great deal for the Elph S200. Unfortunately this is only a 2 MP camera. Sorry, but that just doesn't cut it anymore in my opinion, I need at least 3MP. As an alternate deal,I picked up the Canon Elph S230's at Dell.com last week for $329 shipped and no tax. This camera has 3.2 megaPixels, 6.4 combined zoom and takes really nice pictures. It's basically the big brother to the S200 with same body and overall dimensions.

Again, great deal but consider it is somewhat outdated compared to what's available now.

Have you guys already received your order. In my case I placed two oreder seperatly, they cancelled one order and second is showing as shipped, but when I called staples they told is its not actually shipped, but its under hold for the price match, and most likely it iwll not get threw. He told me that we know the receipt is already on the internet, and we are not going to price match any more....

You guys please check it out your order to confirm the status of your order. And please post your experiences on this forum.
