I dropped my Canon i950 printer and broek it.
I called Canon and they are mailing a new one to me with a return lable that I can use to ship the old one back to them.

they'll get it back from you in ink money 🙂

still it is nice of them, good to know when I get around to buying a color inkjet to supplement my laser.

So you dropped your printer, and it broke. Did you tell Canon that you "dropped" the printer or did you tell them that it just "stopped working?"

how long after you got it did you drop it

i have a i560 that i dropped and broke too. i just bought another one, but if they will take it back i will do that and then keep it a a backup

i hate inkjet printers 🙂
i go through like 1 or 2 a year it seems
so i finally broke down and got an HP lazer printer and am very happy with it
i just break out the 30 buck epson when i need a little color 🙂

that's cool that they are sending you a new one tho

10 and a half monthes.

I have a friend that dropped his Dell Axim and shattered the screen a couple of months after purchase. He called Dell and honestly explained what happened, and they sent him a replacement!

Dell's customer service has gotten a bad rap lately, but this incident tells me otherwise. Good to hear Canon has similar service since I have a new i960.

Canon has the least expensive ink.

The truth doesn't always mean they won't help you. I dropped a Sharp scientific calculator and broke the display on it. I told them exactly what happened, sent them the broken one, and they sent me a better one back without charge.

Customer satisfaction is worth a lot.

I did the exact same thing, I keep my epson 760 in my closet...

Yes but they're still making a killing on it. Ink and plastic are two of the cheapest substances known to mankind. 🙂

Lol, what are your other(affordable) options... pencil and paper?

I buy my ink from MJ's for $1.40black -$1.90color so I'm good to go.
