Canon PowerShot S100 $253 + ship

Would call this a luke warm deal. Steve's Digicam says "The only real physical difference between the PowerShot S100 and the new S110 is the nameplate and the addition of a small microphone on the front".

Saw this camera here for $253 + ship. The S110 is nearly $60 more for a microphone, not sure if its worth it or not. I'm not sure if this is one of those bodega stores where they try to sell you a camera package or some other junk if you just buy the camera, some camera stores make you wait 3 weeks if your not buying a big package.
 
They suppossedly fixed the color of your photos as the s100 wasn't as clear. I haven't seen the s100, I have the s110, and it's totally awesome.
 
i have both, sold one though.. the s110 color is actually better... plus i got the free bag, rebate stuff..
 
S110 is $347 now. So it is about $100 more then the S100. I read the S110 has a new/better digital signal processing IC then the S110.
 

The S110 may be better and have the ability to do mini-movies but I have the S100 and it is great.

Picture quality is as good or better than my very bulky 2 megapixel kodak.

Amazing little camera for the price!
 
I have the S100 and the camera is only OK. Not worth the price if you pay more than $200 IMO. The pictures are too grainy and dark for indoor pics. Takes great pictures outdoor on a sunny day, but all camera does it best on a sunny day.

No really, they never have anything they advertise in stock, and then they tell you about some deal they have, talk it all up, then add 9% sales tax no matter where you live, $40 shipping and 8% insurance, "UPS's Mandated Charge",even though they ship airborne. Oh yeah, and my new HP laptop was actually refurbished, and missing a power adapter.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE.

If you want more info, I can let you know, but I have asked pricegrabber to remove them as they are so dishonest.

I am new in this. Has anyone tried the digital printing of shots taken by s100,s110 or s300? Can they compare with prints on film based if they were taken with the max resolution?
