Actually, I was the first person to bring the deal to the masses via the Forums at www.dpreview.com. They've known about the deal for 2 weeks. Sorry, but I didn't even know Anandtech had a forum!

There are still some left to be bought...

Are these still on display or do you have to ask for an inventory check?

It's a clearance item, like he says, so your chances of finding one are slim. Since the stocks are very low on these, the chances of getting it online are probably nil. I managed to find one on display on Sunday, and the manager is giving me a $40 discount since it's a display item ($210 -- woohoo!). I checked three other stores with no luck.

Word of advice -- do NOT call about it, since you'll tip off the clerks who might just decide to grab one for themselves. We all learned that lesson last year when they had 5x DVD-ROMs with a Hollywood+ for $50 -- I lost two drives that way before I found an honest person. :|

dc240 sucks compares to the s10... well.. the only thing the dc240 has for it is the 3x zoom. But the portibility and quality of pictures is AMAZING on the s10.

I only wish there were some OM's by me :( closests ones are 2-3hrs away.

DC240 is a very good camera -- especially for ease of use since it's practically idiot proof. Once I receive the S10, I can compare them if anyone is interested (should have it tonight).

Staples still has the DC240 for $450 -- idiots.
