This camera is smaller than the other canon in the A series. This is great if you want to use AA instead of those lithium batteries. As those already mentioned, the super macro mode is also great for shooting high priced items, such as flutes for eBay. What I don't like about the A600 is the size. This seems like a great Camera and was just released on 3/27/2006 despite being 4 mega pixel. I don't see the justification for spending more on an A610/A620 if you just want a portable quick point and shoot.
EDIT: great camera, not really a great price. After reading reviews on the store, i'm also iffy about buying from them. Reviews about amazon would be "i didnt recieve refund in timely manner" whereas ritzcamera is "they sold me a gray market camera (camera not meant to be sold in USA, so not covered by warranty)." To say amazon store rating is = to ritzcamera is wrong.
Target had them on clearance for 74 bucks on sept 25 according to fatwallet. Dell home/SB also had them on sale for 113 + shipping. Both of which are more reliable sources IMO.
Not a hot price.
