The A620/A610 are much better cameras with more pixels, lots of manual controls, bigger sensors (better low light sensitivity).
On another hand they're quite bulky.
The A430 will serve you just fine if you're the kind of a user that takes the most of his/her pictures outdoors in the auto mode.
The A430 also has a powerfull super macro setting - usefull for ebay auctions.

Completely different class. The A430 is the lowest current model in the A series. An A620 is much better.

I don't like the Canon A600s. They're bulkier and the plastic body looks cheap compared to previous models. The zoom control doesn't slide smoothly. You can feel a bit of friction. I can't help but feel that this camera was manufactured at a different factory than the A500s.

This camera is smaller than the other canon in the A series. This is great if you want to use AA instead of those lithium batteries. As those already mentioned, the super macro mode is also great for shooting high priced items, such as flutes for eBay. What I don't like about the A600 is the size. This seems like a great Camera and was just released on 3/27/2006 despite being 4 mega pixel. I don't see the justification for spending more on an A610/A620 if you just want a portable quick point and shoot.

EDIT: great camera, not really a great price. After reading reviews on the store, i'm also iffy about buying from them. Reviews about amazon would be "i didnt recieve refund in timely manner" whereas ritzcamera is "they sold me a gray market camera (camera not meant to be sold in USA, so not covered by warranty)." To say amazon store rating is = to ritzcamera is wrong.

Target had them on clearance for 74 bucks on sept 25 according to fatwallet. Dell home/SB also had them on sale for 113 + shipping. Both of which are more reliable sources IMO.

Not a hot price.

$74 at Target?
Man, I haven't seen that one.
I would have bought a second A430 for my girlfiriend!
BTW, Amazon was selling them recently for less than $125, with free shipping.
