Canon people: Is $300 for a 3 month old EF 28-135mm IS a good price?

I'm going to try for $275 on it but not sure if he'll take it. I'll inspect it tomorrow, but he insists it's in excellent condition. He said it includes a UV filter, unknown brand (forgot to ask).

Good deal or keep looking? I don't need to buy it since I don't even have a body yet, but a 20D (more than likely) is in my future. I figured that if this is a good enough deal, and the lens won't depreciate, I could buy now and hold onto it until I buy the 20D (or another Canon). If I don't buy a Canon or don't buy anything, I could always resell since I've heard that these lenses hold their value fairly well.

Appreciate some advice.

its a good lens but its still kinda limited on the bottom end for wide-angle shots. I haven't checked prices on that lens yet but for comparison I paid $220 for my 28-105 f/3.5-4.5 lens maybe 5 months ago. Still the same price now.

The lens you're after is $394 from B&H so use that as a guide.
