Canon i560 only prints blank pages

I have a Canon i560 printer. I just installed a new black 3e cartridge after the old one had run out. When I print, only blank sheets comes out even though the printer makes all the right noises in the process.

I took out the cartridge and squeezed the tank to make sure that the ink applicator is moist and upon pressing it upon a blank sheet of paper, it leaves a dark spot. After replacing it in the printer, it still doesn't work.

Any ideas?

Also, I have done multiple head cleanings with no success. The "nozzle check" prints blank pages also. None of the colors (4) print even though I only replaced the black one.
