Buy.com has the Canon i470d photo printer for $89.99 + $14 shipping (for me) - $50 rebate. I couldn't find a negative review on this printer, most gave it 5 stars. It appears to be very strong on photo printing and ink costs, not quite as strong at text. It is rated at up to 18ppm black, 12ppm mixed.

Nice printer at a nice price, but....Buy.com rebates can take a long time. There are so many printer deals right now with the new models coming out I'd rather wait. The most compelling reason to purchase this printer is the low consumable costs.

Don't foget this puppy doubles as a memory reader for CF, Sticks, SD, SM cards. I'm being tempted but haven't jumped, yet...

I guess I'll keep the i560 since Dell will probably try to stick us with a restocking fee and return shipping costs :(

Jeez, I hope so...the i560 is a superior printer to the i470 but the i470 does do good quality prints.

RossMAN, the i560 prints in 5-picoliter pixels and uses seperate carts whereas the i470D does 2 picolitre ink drops (grainer pics) so your better off.

Actually 2 picoliter is better than 5. Smaller drops the better.

The i560 is 2 and the i550 was 5.
The i470 is also 2 picoliter...the i560 is the better printer because of the cartridges and speed.

I stand corrected...dunno where my mind was! In essence there is no difference between the Printers Print production capabilities.

Edit=Damn I see the i470D does legal size Photo's..hmmm may have to jump on it :)

I'm in. I've been waiting for a week for free shipping to show up, doesn't look like it's going to happen. I like the fact that you can use it as a card reader as well..

Guys, I just received a postcard for this rebate saying it was ineligible!! WTF? Like many of you, I received the printer in the retail box without a packing slip, but sent them a letter saying I didn't have one and attached the shipping label. WTF? They send me a postcard saying no packing slip was received. I had talked to customer support! WTF?!

If you buy something online, you almost always get a chance to print an online invoice. And even if you don't print it right away, you can many times log back into your account and view or print your invoice. I know you can do this at Buy.com. Also you usually get confirmation e-mail.
