Ok, sorry I'm a little late in asking... but what did everyone who didn't get a receipt with their delivery do? Will they accept a print out of the online order confirmation, or do I have to call OD and have them send/fax me the receipt?

I received an invoice with mine. I'm not sure if the order confimation will work - others would knoe better than me. Since it takes little effort to have them send you one, why not call 'em and be on the safe side.

actually cartridge for cartridge canon or lexmark cost about the same, speaking of original cartridges. I remember seeing a website which include number of pages that can be printed by a cartridge in a canon and lexmark. a canon cartridge prints about 125 pages of 5% coverage 8.5x11 paper. a lexmark does it at about 500. a canon cartridge (BC24) is about $8 new. a lexmark is about $30 new. however, in the remanufactured (or cheap stores, megatoners for example) a canon cartridge is about $2-$3, while a lexmark is about $20. go figure.

I recieved my rebate already! It came last week, I think this is the fastest rebate I ever got, only took about 3 weeks.

I had to phone in my order, and the CSR faxed me a confirmation. This is what I used as my reciept with no problems.

I do have a problem with the paper loading though, it won't feed at all. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks :)

Shameless plug for my question in the peripherals forum

Peabody, the best deal on the i850 that I have found is at ChompUSA. where it is $199 plus a $30 rebate = $169. Prices on Ebay have been no lower than retail.

If you guys have never had a Canon printer before, I highly recommned one. I died the last time I printed 150 flyers (on new cartridges) on an HP and the ink was gone, and it was $65 bucks to replace them. On my Canon, I just replaced my first black cartridge in over a year and a half, and it cost me $8.99. Almost any Canon, at almost any price counts as a hot deal if you print more than a 100 pages a year. Not only are the cartridges dirt cheap, they use very little ink, and you never throw away good ink.

Dude, I'm getting a Canon.

Has anyone ordered ink for this baby yet? The cartridges seem really small. My black needs replacing after only a few reports/printouts. I haven't done much printing at all. I'm thinking about getting the replacements from www.megatoners.com . Can anyone vouch for the quality of their carts...

F.Y.I. this deal is still alive...rebate good til 2/28/02, and there are still 20 off 75 coupons floating about. I just picked one of these up tonight, and for $34.55, it's a rather impressive little squirt, for both photos and text. Best of all, I'm now free of the tyranny of high cost lexmark cartridges.:D

www.megatoners.com . Can anyone vouch for the quality of their carts...

got my i320 today, will use it primarily for photo printing. I have about 2 years worth of family photo's that I have to print.
Is this cost effective or will it be cheaper to take a cd to photoshop?

can anybody comment on the quality of the ink at megatoners? my concern is will it bleed or is it pretty much the same quality of ink in a different package?

I am glad that I will be replacing my HP 722c cant believe it cost about $40 to replace those ink cartridges.

I did not get a packing slip or reciept called OD and was instructed to call this number during weekdays and have a reciept mailed to me.

And still alive...

Found another 20 off 75 (funtasia.net) and got this for $60 - $30 rebate +tax. Better specs than the Lexmark Z25, that I was going to get.

Thanks!

Just scored one at OD for 59.13 - 30 = 29.13$
Bought it using 20 off 75, total came to 63.xx...called OD and asked to PM to www.buy.com who has it for 74.18..but i asked to make the price 75.99 (so my coupon would stay)...new total came to 59.13 minus 30 rebate.

Neat. Thanx!

I haven't used Megatoners for Canon ink, but I have used them for a whole ton of Epson 740 and 880 ink. I think the Megatoners Epson compatible is every bit as good as Epson ink. I think the Canon from Megatoners is probably pretty good. Megatoners has very fast shipping, usually less than one week. The only thing that bothered me about Megatoners was they never list the actual shipping cost in any of the checkout screens. But it has always been the same in about ten different orders over the years -- $4 or $5 for shiping.

Bump for a good deal which is still available. What you might need to do during ordering is put the exact item number in the "order by number" page. I could not find the printer just looking in the printers section. The speed and quality of this printer seems pretty good after a few hours of use. Photos on even plain paper looked pretty good. It spits out regular black text pretty fast. The only negative is the ink doesn't seem to be as waterproof as Epson.

Just got my $30 MIR today, ordered 10/28/02. Used my order confirmation as the receipt when I submitted the rebate form.
Printed some 4"x6" pictures and it looks great. :D

I saw this printer in OD, and yes it feels very flimsy compared to other printers.( like the i 550 or i 850) Has anyone experienced the light lines when printing 4x6s? I read that most problems can be eliminated by using the proper paper for the printer. Anyone know of a printer comparable in output and noise to the discontinued Epson 880? I heard the canon i850 is pretty sweet? any ideas?

I got one of these when the sale first started. I did see some light banding in the 4x6 prints, using the paper that came with the printer. I wasn't satisfied with the print quality, so I took it back, tho it was hard to pass up on such a low price!

This deal is still going on, and now there is a $25 off coupon that lowers your cost to $25 before taxes and after rebate. Rebate is good through next month. Remember the trick about ordering by # with Office Depot. If you search for specific items, you might not find them. But if you order by #, they show up just fine.

I think this is a fairly fast and good quality printer, especially considering the cost. I thought it was worthy of bumping to the top. Megatoners has cheap ink for this printer.

Ableshoppers is a good site to find the coupon.
