I may be a member in the near future. My dad recently asked for digicam recommendations and it looks like I'm going to steer him towards the A80. It's in his price range and seems to have a lot of versatility. I don't know if 3x optical zoom will be enough, though. :-/

Get the lens adapter, and fit it with a telephoto lens to double the optical zoom. 🙂

I have an S45 and a Digital Rebel. This thread reminds me that I need to track down where I last left my online gallery, though I think it is still just pictures from my old Minolta.

1. Brand new Canon SD110
2. I need easy to use gallery software that is free or cheap...
3. Nutbucket will die by bludgeoning with my new canon so that I have an excuse to buy a better Canon...

Canon Powershot S45... one of these days I'll remember to upload my pictures, though I don't have to do it often with a 256MB CF card.

I was thinking of something strictly HTML based as that system is PHP and comcast personal webpages probably doens't allow PHP or mySQL... I may look into getting my own domain and stuff though as I do want something nice like the example that Ross posted...

I have the S200, no pics at the moment.

I'm looking for a good deal on an S series, either the S200/230/400/410 or the S45/50. Wish I jumped on that Amazon S45 deal months ago 🙁

I have owned a S110 for quite a while (love that camera!), and just yesterday I received my PowerShot S1 IS in the mail.

I like the S1 A LOT. Very nice camera.

FYI, if any of you have a costco membership you can get the S1 IS kit, plus the Canon NiMH 4-pack of rechargeable AA batteries with charger (CBK4-200 kit), plus the Canon case for the S1 (the PSC-70), total for $470.

The S1 IS kit by itself is $440 now at amazon.com, and the battery kit is worth $43 and the case $23, so the deal from costco.com rocks pretty hard. Only bad part is that I had to pay tax (Cali resident).

Once I have the time to try and take some decent pics I'll try and put together a gallery from the S1.

I'm sure there a few HTML gallery scripts but they will SUCK compared to a PHP/MySQL driven site.

hmm have to see if comcast allowes php. damn comcast! heh a domain and stuff would be nice. but with 2 cars needing repaired (need brakes on my wife's and not sure on mine) and just got back from vacation. sigh
