that's a confusing rebate.

i think if you buy both the camera and the lens, you check the rebate amount for both camera and lens, so, say you buy this and the EF 135 F/2 you get both the $150 for the camera and the $70 for the lens. pick a 3rd item and all 3 get moved into the last column, so it may be like you get the 3rd thing for free after all the rebate amount

It is a very interesting rebate.

Too bad i don't have enought money for the macro lens. $400 is a lot to tack onto the camera.

word of warning:

Canon is notorious for rebate fulfillment issues. Make sure you dot your "i"s and cross your "t"s and keep copies of EVERYTHING!

I just have a couple of ?'s about this item.

I have a Ti Slr. Will the lenses from this camera work w/ the rebel xt digital? Also, is buydig.com a authorized reseller of Canon products?

thanks,

Seems like the best deal on the camera I've seen yet. I have my eye on getting one of these for a while now. Do any of the extra rebate items add up to a good deal? It seems like you save another $100 if you add on another lens, but you're paying quite a bit more than that for the lens itself. Any advice here from someone who's into photography? Know of any new models that are going to come out soon and make me regret having bought now (either new features or just driving the price of this model down)? The only bad thing I've read in researching this camera is that the LCD panel on back is kind of hard to read in bright sunlight. Kaijufan -- can you comment on that? Thanks, OP.
