can't comment on the company, but this camera is top notch.

check out dpreview.com forums and reviews for more info. I think they call it prosumer, but it's good enough for a professional.

zipzoomfly (formerly googlegear) is a awesome company. i love ordering from them. The brand, Canon is top notch. I wouldnt get any camera other than Canon. IMHO

butterflyvideo is charging 16 bucks for shipping, and its not even 2nd day delivery. You gonna save 10-20 bucks for ordering from Butterfly.....

The camera body has gotten glowing reviews. The supplied "kit" lens is considered crap, with some of them having focusing problems on top of that. Having said that, places like Ritz are still charging $1500 for the body only, so this is still a good deal.

I love my 300D / Digital Rebel. This is a (big) step up from mine and worth every penny IMO. I only wish Sears carried these so I might have a hope of getting a ~1/2 price PM like I did the rebel.....

No, it's not. There's a reason (many actually that any number of professionally-oriented DSLR sites will happily list) that the EOS 1DS series costs thousands more than the 20D.

Don't get me wrong. The 20D is an excellent DSLR. I have one. But a professional-level camera it isn't.

I recently bought mine at buydig.com free shipping too. 1339 and soemthing. no tax to california.

free ground shipping but fedex is quick about it. I ordered on saturday, item shipped out of New Jersey on monday and came to me on wednesday.

yup warranty card and all. I had originally wanted just the body but the difference between body and lens 18-55mm kit one was -10. the body alone was much 10 bucks more.

then I just ebayed the lens for about 100 bucks. since I didn't need it
