Canon A80 deal Hot or just warm??

I found an ad on page 12 in the Holiday Sale for BrandsMart U.S.A. that said Canon A80 $349.00 plus 6% tax as it is local for me.

Do you think this is Hot or just warm.....? It's a standard USA Canon PSA80 package nothing extra.
Do you think the price will drop between now and Christmas?
I really want one of these A80's Cameras. I'm willing to wait if price drops enought to make it worth the wait.
 
If you would have done a little research (e.g. Pricegrabber), you'll see that you can get this camera at multiple places for around that price (some tax free).
 
The camera i believe is on sale this week at staples. 399 with free 64mb CF and acessory kit. Not a bad deal. Always buy from retail on stuff like this, because you dont want to have to deal with e-commerce companies for warranty work.

I was looking mostly for more Knowledge (see my questions in my Post) than research, which I have done.

I agree with most of your quote HERE but I think the price at Staples is still a little high even with the extras.

EDIT: OOOPs sorry rpbri2886 I didn't notice the incresase in the CF card from 32 to 64mb that makes that a better deal and I will have to agree with you on both ....

You asked if the deal was hot or not and I simply replied that with a little research, you would see that the price isn't hot. Maybe YOU should read your POST before hitting the reply button to my original comment. Secondly, if all you were looking for was knowledge on the A80, then why post it in the HOT DEALS forum? Lastly, you could have used your original post to ask these questions instead of opening a new topic so people can guide you by the hand toward the purchase of the A80.

The A80 is an awesome camera. I've had mine for about 2 weeks and it takes some terrific photos.

Got mine for $349.99 at Staples a few weeks ago with a FREE 2 yr extended warranty, TWO digital camera starter kits and a free 64MB CF card. I had a REALLY cool salesperson who let me use a $30 off $150 and a $20 coupon (which HE gave me). Unbeatable deal.

Well after waiting a couple weeks, I too bought the Staples Canon A-80 Deal.
Got the extra 64mb card, extra Acc. Kit, Free Shipping and additional 12% Off for Customer Apprecation Deal too. Total cost for me in Fla. home of 6% sales tax = $364.84. Delivered FREE.
Camera will be at my home before Christmas on Dec. 9-th. or 10th.

 
I don't know about staples, but be careful when buying cameras from OD or OM. They do not allow returns AT ALL.

cheapest I saw on pricegrabber was almost $360 delivered. now eliminate gray-market/no-warranty-having dealers and you probably agree that under $350 delivered would be a great price.

I just used a 12% discount and $25 coupon and picked one up from a local Staples, it is a great camera. Now I'll pick up the i900d photo printer this week for about $215 and I'll use the Canon $100 rebate for an even better bargain.

Here's the print head with its 1,536 print nozzles and its six ink tanks. The i960 Photo Printer has twice as many nozzles and much faster print times.

i960 does print 2 to 3x as fast as the i900d but both have the same resolution. the i900d has the lcd, can be used without a computer, and also has a $100 rebate where as the i960 only has $50. With a $30 differance in price the i900d is a better deal for me.

You're kinda right but it's HOT now.

Well as Emeril would say "LETS KICK IT UP A NOTCH" BAM BAM BAM ..lets add another 12% OFF the price and throw in a Extra 64mb CF card and Adobe PhotoAlbum Disk and other goodies for. $364.00 including Tax Delivered to my door and a USA Warranty.

Now how's the deal???? I just received mine yesterday. Dec. 10th

BTW....... it was from STAPLES that I got it. They sweeten the pot.
