Canon A75 - is it a 'pocket' camera?

I was going to go get the Nikon Coolpix 3700 because it was more compact than, say, the A75.

But then I actually looked at the dimensions side-by-side:
Dimensions (L x W x H, inches): (Canon) 1.2 x 4.0 x 2.5 (Nikon) 1.2 x 3.8 x 2.0

With the A75, is it really that hard to carry in your pocket? Does it feel excessively bulky? If the dimensions are so close, those of you that have one...can you carry it comfortably?

Nope, it's not a 'pocket' camera. Not even S400 is a 'pocket' camera.
'Pocket' camera should have size of SD-10.

Nope... I carry mine (A70) in a camera bag.... but I gotta say... the canons are great....

Depends on how big your pockets are, but I wouldn't call the A-Series "pocket cameras". They're small but not tiny, and they have an asymmetrical shape which doesn't lend itself to pocket use. Canon has other cameras that are more pocketable.

So the A75 might fit into your pocket, but looking at that Nikon, it's a sleeker, more pocket-friendly design. Even the Nikon is not all that small, though.

I know I've said it before, but go for the SD100/SD110.

The s400 fits comfortably into all of my jeans, and I really don't wear any loose fitting jeans. Do the math?

Get a Canon SD100, SD110 or S400.

the a75 fits into my pockets. but its not a pocket camera by any means. now my friends Pentax Optio S4 is a pocket camera (size of altoids can)

SD100 is not really available anymore
SD110 is just a tad out of what I want to spend.......im taking shots of people, primarily partying, nothign all that complex

What about the Canon A300?

I know it lacks optical zoom but it's compact, takes great pics (sully owns one) and is CHEAP.

A300 isn't any smaller than the A70....I thought it was but in reality it isn't.

A310 dimensions: Dimensions (L x W x H, inches): 1.4 x 4.3 x 2.3
and only 25g less than the A75 :<

I love the size of the A series (had an a40 now got a a80).

I have mild arthritis in my hands. So holding small cameras is a pain. With the A80 it feels good in my hand.
