Canon A75 CF Memory

I have a Fuji with an XD card and recently bought an A75 with a 512 CF card by Sandisk. Transferring from the CF is way slooooower than the XD. It takes about 8 minutes to transfer 450 megs using USB 2.0.

Anyone else experience this? Is it the generic card?

XD card is very fast in transfer speed, no way cf card can compare with it.
i have fuji 3800.

I guess that would explain it. I didn't check that out before I took the leap. I like Fuji cameras but wanted to try a Canon for a change. Thanks.
