I bought this camera when it first came out at $350 and just love it. I wish I had waited as the price sure did come down. I also have the CANON A80 and gave the A70 to my granddaughter. If you have the extra cash, go for the CANON A80 as the swivel screen sure comes in handy for taking candid shots, etc. Check www.officemax.com and type in canon a70 for a search. Also, this week's flyer at Office Max has it listed for $299 and $70 off. I see staples has a good price on it too.

www.batteryspace.com has good prices on AA batteries and chargers

www.ecost.com has good prices on flash cards for this camera. I think I just got one for $34 after rebate and free shipping. It was a 256 memory.

I am new at this so I might have screwed up the addresses. I hope it works.

If you live near a Microcenter they are selling the A75 (Upgraded model with bigger screen for $239 ($299 - 20%). So the $10 upcharge is worth it.

Yes, it is definitley better. The canon A sereis is pretty much the best as far as point and shoot goes in my opinion.

This is also being offered by Staples and OfficeMax.

Here's the hot deal that I did. About two weeks ago, I rece'd a $50 off $250 coupon from OM. Ordered it online when it was $249.98. After being some envelopes, which I really needed, the net price delivered was $215 after tax. THEN, three days later, OM dropped the price to $229.98. I called customer service for the low price guarantee and rec'd $20 +tax refund to my CC. Net price to me was about $194.

BTW, this is the second A70 I have purchased. They are great cameras. Much better than your typical P&S. I bought the first one for my wife about a year ago, also from OM. It was one of the best buys I ever made. Same deal, used a $50 off $250 coupon. I had originally called for an Elph 100 (I think it was) but it was OOS, so OM substituted the A70 for a day or so until they realized it was a mistake. Too sweeten the deal, they also were including a 128MB Lexar CF card and a Dazzle CF reader at no additional charge. Net price was $215 delivered. Wow!
